The Care For Yourself  campaign and platforms result from the collaboration of a group of students from Curtin Mauritius (Charles Telfair Campus), Dr. Amanda Sadien and Yuva Mauritius.

Initially serving an educational purpose for the students, the campaigns ultimately aims to engage with all possible members of its audience and help individuals in making the first and basic steps towards taking good care of their mental health. We are a team of 4 Mass communication students, studying at Curtin Mauritius. We opted for this particular issue because in our Mauritian society, we noticed the degrading state of young adults’ mental health. Often buried under personal and academic or even professional responsibilities, we often neglect our mental health. Our campaign has been created and designed with the NGO YUVA.

We aim at creating an awareness on how our mental health is crucial for a good and positive life. In this age of technology, we made use of visual facilities such as video to help people better understand our aim.  We offer an online consultancy program with our psychologist, Amanda Sadien as well as volunteering programs offered by YUVA. We have an Instagram page to help us connect to young adults, not only in Mauritius but throughout the world.
